In today’s post we want to run through all of the fabulous features on the Bugaboo Donkey 3 but we will also highlight the changes that have been made to improve this award-winning product!
As we mentioned previously the Donkey is a convertible double stroller so it can be used in many different families, for instance…
If you have 1 baby but may be thinking about having a second soon and could eventually need a double stroller (Mono Mode)
If you have 2 children close in age so you need a double pushchair right now, but eventually will revert to a single (Duo Mode)
If you have twins (Twin Mode)
No matter which mode you choose for your Donkey, it is suitable from birth up to 22kg (22kg per seat if in twin mode) and your newborn will be safe and protected in the cosy lay flat carrycot. The carrycot is suitable right from day 1 to approximately 6 months old comes complete with a padded, breathable mattress, extendable hood and carrycot handle for easy transportation.

As on the previous Donkey model, we love the carrycots extendable hood to provide a little more shade for your baby and the new breezy sun canopy creates optimal airflow to keep your baby safe and cool.

A new rotating carry handle makes it easier than ever before to get your little one in and out of the carrycot
As approximately 6 months your baby will move into the seat unit which has lots of room for them to grow up to 22kg (which is around 5 years old!) each seat has a multi recline position which is great for afternoon napping and just like the carrycot, the seat unit has an extendable hood with a peek-a-boo window means you can easily check on your little one throughout the day.
One thing parents love about the Donkey is the fact that in twin mode both seats are side by side and you have ultimate flexibility to have both of your children parent facing, world facing or if your children are of different ages you may even have one parent facing and one world facing!
Donkey 3 Seat Unit Updates
Just like the carrycot, the seat unit still has an extendable hood but with the addition of a peek-a-boo window so you can easily check on your little one, especially if they're world facing.

The frame of the Donkey 3 is where we have seen the most improvements and we’re so pleased that this will mean a smoother push for you and a more comfortable ride for your little one!
The Donkey 3 features 4 puncture proof tyres which are a total of 700 grams lighter(!!) than previous models and will provide a smooth journey over any terrain! The Donkey offers great suspension no matter how heavy your load and the front swivel wheels make it super manoeuvrable which is great in busier areas too!
Whether you’re in Mono, Duo or Twin Mode the Donkey 3 offers huge amounts of storage space with the under-seat basket holding 28 litres and the side basket holding 18 litres!! For Mono mode the side luggage basket has had an update making it easier to increase the capacity and the integrated zipper will now make it easier to access your essentials on the go!
